Will You Be One Of Millions Deceived And Headed For Hell?

By:  Bill and Teddy Rogers

We are already in what is called the “Last Days”.  Satan knows that his time is short and he will use every trick, tactic, scheme, device and person at his disposal to deceive as many people as possible.

ONE OF SATAN'S FAVORITE TRICKS

One of Satan's favorite tricks is to create doubt about God and God's Word through questions and messages presented by his false teachers and preachers.

THERE WILL BE A GREAT FALLING AWAY!

Matthew 24:10-13 says “And many will turn away from me and betray and hate each other. And many false prophets will appear and will deceive many people. Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved.”

1 Timothy 4:1-2 says “The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.”

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 saysBut I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.”

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 says “Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.”

WE LIVE IN A SINFUL WORLD!

Today, as Christians, we cannot avoid every kind of evil because we live in a sinful world.

We have many distractions that can divide our attention and prevent us from concentrating on our faith. As a result, we can easily lose our faith by letting our lives become filled to excess and dysfunctional.

We should strive to make sure that we eliminate as many distractions as possible, avoid tempting situations so we don't give evil a foothold, and concentrate on living our lives according to God's Word.

WATCH OUT FOR FALSE TEACHERS AND PREACHERS

Exactly as the Snake seduced Eve with his smooth talk, Satan will attempt to lure you away from the simple purity of your love for Christ.

Don't fall for captivating speakers who sound good and seem to make sense. Satan has many false teachers and preachers that appear to make sense, who sound like an authority, and say words that you like to hear. Don't let your mind be corrupted or seduced! Constantly search the Bible and check his or her teaching or message preached against God's Word.

1 Thessalonians 5:21-22 says “But test them all; hold on to what is good, reject every kind of evil.”

The Bible is God's infallible word and should be your authoritative guide. Those who teach or preach anything that contradicts God's Word are false teachers or preachers, even if they appear to be an authority with exceptional credentials. Always carefully check everything they say against the Bible.

But, don’t suppress the Holy Spirit, and don’t stifle those who have a word. On the other hand, don’t be gullible. Test and prove everything until you can recognize what is truth. Keep only the good and hold fast to that. Then, throw out everything that is false.

2 Peter 3:18 saysBut grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.”

BE ON GUARD!

Be on guard lest you lose your footing and get swept off your feet by these lawless and loose-talking false teachers and preachers. Grow in grace and understanding of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Read your Bible every day and get to know Him better and better. This is the most important step in recognizing when false teachers and preachers are making false and misleading statements.

We all still have much room for growth. No matter where we are in our spiritual journey, no matter how mature we are in our spiritual faith, the sinful world will always challenge our faith. Find time every day to read your Bible and draw closer to Jesus. This will prepare you to stand firm in your faith in any and all circumstances.

Revelation 12:11 says “They triumphed over him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; they did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.”

DON'T BE DECEIVED!

In Matthew 24:4-14 Jesus said: “Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.

Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains.

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.

STAND FIRM TO THE END!

Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

There will be a falling away but there will be, through Jesus Christ, a great end gathering for those who will overcome!

To defeat Satan at every turn, arm yourself with knowledge and understanding of God's Word and protect yourself with the full armor of God as describes in Ephesians 6:10-18.

Let's constantly be on guard and not be one of the millions who will be deceived and lost.

And, if you haven't accepted God's Free Gift Of Salvation, do it now.

Do you know for sure where you are going when you die? Are you ready?

There Is Much Power In Your Words!

By:  Bill and Teddy Rogers

There is an old saying that says “Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me”. That old saying is as wrong as two left shoes! Proverbs 18:21 says “The tongue has the power of life and death.”

Your words can either make a situation better or make a situation worse. There is much power in your words!

Proverbs 15:1 says “A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger”.

Have you ever tried to argue in a whisper? It is equally hard to argue with someone who answers gently. On the other hand, a rising voice and harsh words almost always trigger an angry response. To turn away wrath and seek peace, choose gentle words.

When you have an argument with someone, you have to be very careful not to sow bad seeds into the relationship. Words, once spoken, are very difficult to take back!

Proverbs 4:23 says to guard your heart, for out of it flows the issues of life.

Our heart – our feelings of love and desire – dictates to a great extent how we live. We are told to guard our heart above all else, making sure we concentrate on those desires that will keep us on the right path.

Make sure your thoughts push you in the right direction. Put boundaries on your desires: don't go after everything you see. Look straight ahead, keep your eyes fixed on your goal, and don't get sidetracked on detours that lead to sin.

Matthew 12:35-37 says “A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him. But I tell you that everyone will have to give account on the day of judgment for every empty word they have spoken. For by your words you will be acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned.”

Matthew 15:18-20 says “But the things that come out of a person’s mouth come from the heart, and these make a man unclean. For out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander. These are what makes a man unclean”. And, if you dwell on them long enough, your thoughts can lead to actions with negative consequences.

We work hard to keep our outward appearance attractive, but what is in our hearts is even more important. The way we are deep down inside (where others can't see) matters more to God.  1 Samuel 16:7 says “The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart”.

The words you speak are a good indicator of what is in your heart. What kinds of words come from your mouth and what are you like inside?

If you think and say negative words, that's how people will think of you and more likely than not, that is how your life will turn out. Examples: I'm stupid; I'll never amount to anything; I always get sick every September; I'm going to have to take this medicine for the rest of my life; This runs in my family.

When you say these negative things, you are prophesying to yourself and you can have what you say!

If you have doubt and unbelief in your heart, that's what you will think and say.  If you believe in your heart that you can never be successful, you never will be.  But, if you believe in your heart, have faith, and say you can do it, you will!

When people become Christians, God changes them on the inside. And, He will continue this process of change inside them if they only ask.  God wants us to seek healthy thoughts and motives.

If you're sick, the Bible says that by the stripes of Jesus you are healed. If something is upsetting or frightening you, the Bible says that no weapon formed against you will prosper. If you can't pay your bills, the Bible says that God will supply all your needs.

We encourage you to read and study the Bible every day and find scriptures that relate to your circumstances. Then, faithfully and frequently declare out loud what the Bible (God's Word) says about your situation.

Choose your words carefully, get rid of your negative thoughts, your negative attitude and all your complaints, and see how much better your life can be.

If you are saved, God is your Heavenly father. He loves you and wants the very best for you. And, always remember, there is much power in your words.

Do you know for sure where you are going when you die? Are you ready?

An Appointment That No One Can Reschedule Or Cancel!

By:  Bill and Teddy Rogers

During our lifetime, we make appointments, skip appointments, reschedule appointments, and even cancel appointments with doctors, lawyers, pastors, educators, police, and a wide variety of businesses and organizations.

But, we all have one appointment where the date, time, and place cannot be predicted and cannot be rescheduled or canceled by anyone. That appointment is sure to happen and is our appointment with death!

As human beings, we are made up of three parts: our Physical Body (external physical layer); our Soul (mind, will, and emotions); and our Spirit (inner core of being sensitive to God).

At some point in time, our physical body will die and be returned to the dust of this earth or be cremated. It may be 50 years from now, 10 years from now, or within the next few minutes. No one knows the time, date, or place. But our Soul and Spirit will live on throughout Eternity.

The Holy Bible clearly states that there is a Heaven and a Hell and we will spend Eternity in one of these two places. There is no half-way house or any other options and the choices we make during our lifetime will determine which of these two places will be our Eternal Home.

Heaven: The home of God, the good angels, and after death, all those who accepted God's Free Gift of Salvation.

Hell: The home of Satan, the fallen angels, and after death, all those who rejected God's Free Gift of Salvation; an eternal place of torment and misery and total separation from God. You Don't Want This!

Do you know for certain where you are going when your appointed time comes? Are you ready?
